  1. At first,soak the rice in water for 20min and wash the fish..
  2. Take curd,salt,onion and other paste and all masala powder in pot and mix.marinate with the hilsha fish.
  3. Put oil in pan and keep the fish in it with the mixture.fry the fish from both side with lime juice and make a gravy in pan..
  4. After frying takeout the fish from pan and put water in it and make a boiling gravy..
  5. Keep the gravy in pan and take some oil and tempt with whole garam masala and bay leaf.fry the rice and mix with rest of masalas gravy and saute till 5min..
  6. Then,add warm water and put a lid on it and boil.
  7. After boiling,spread the onion fry on it and add the fish in the rice and mix..
  8. Serve the hillsa polau with salad.
